Can you share more about your background and how it led you to Assure?  After leaving school at 16, I initially worked in the retail sector.  I went travelling to Australia, returned to retail for a short time before moving into office-based customer service and finance roles for 5 years.  But the opportunity to progress with my last employer wasn’t there.  I wanted a company that offered a clear career path.  The role at Assure really stood, it ticked all the right boxes and I joined the Assure team in 2018.

Describe your role at Assure?  Since I joined in 2018, I’ve steadily advanced to the position of Central Operations Supervisor.  I lead the team whose primary responsibility revolves around meticulously inputting financials received from managing agents.  We serve as the initial checkpoint for any financials that come in, promptly identifying potential areas where disputes or challenges can be made and convey these to the client management teams.  Additionally, we play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy of the data entered into Verivi, our in-house software platform.  This involves keeping the store, scheme, and contact information up to date, as well as incorporating any new stores and clients introduced by the company.  Beyond these core tasks, we handle various ad hoc and administrative responsibilities, such as updating company processes on our informative Wiki page.  My role also entails generating daily reports and conducting periodic spot checks on the financials we input. This ensures that no detail is overlooked and that we’ve covered everything comprehensively.

And when you aren’t working, what do you like to do in your spare time?  I have three young children, so my life revolves a lot around them! But when I’m not on ‘dad duty’, I am generally out with friends.   I also enjoy hiking and most sports (mainly football and cricket). I’m a massive foodie and go to the cinema at least twice a month. I am also a paranormal investigator, which involves a lot of late nights and weekends away, I can’t get enough of them!

Tell us something about you that most people don’t know?   I have a great, great aunt, who was aboard the Titanic, but tragically, she did not make it through the fateful sinking. I’m currently trying to find out more information about her life and who she was.

And one final question, list three items on your bucket list?  My bucket list mostly contains countries I would like to visit!  The main top 3 being New Zealand, The Maldives, and Egypt.
