With the retail sector facing a series of challenges, costs associated with occupational leases are becoming increasingly significant for both Landlord and Tenant.

Whilst rents are being renegotiated to reflect the challenges, service charges have continued to increase ahead of the rate of inflation. We felt it was time to take a step back and get some external input to seriously examine some of the reasons for this and to look for ways of reducing the financial burden of service charges for the benefit of both Landlord and Tenant.
